About Lemonade Day
Lemonade Day is an annual city-wide event produced by Prepared 4 Life and its many community partners. Businesses, families and communities work together to produce Lemonade Day, which is a fun, family-oriented activity designed to train thousands of young people how to be successful entrepreneurs.
"On May 2, 2010 I'd like to see everyone in Wayne County selling lemonade, buying it or drinking it!" commented Michael Holthouse, co-founder of Prepared 4 Life. "The power of lemonade is simple: almost every adult in this country can recall experiences when they were kids with either selling lemonade or buying it from their friends. Setting up lemonade stands is part of the fiber and fabric of America."
Lemonade Day complements other prominent youth-focused organizations including, but not limited to, Junior Achievement, the YMCA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County, and Townsend Community Center.
